Scenario:
Appointed by Malaysian Petroleum Resources Corporation and working closely with Johor Petroleum Development Corporation and Kota Tinggi District Officer and district-level police personnel.
What we did:
Adopted strategy of pro-active engagement with target audience through pre-emptive media relations and media relationship-building.
Result:
Both Government officials and appointed contractor carrying out the exhumation works are in constant touch with media and affected villagers.
The much-feared confrontation and violence were averted.
